Rhonda Sider Edgington is a creative and eclectic musician, with a diverse repertoire and wide range of musical interests. Often commended for her innovative programming, imaginative use of registrations, and exciting playing, Rhonda feels equally at home performing on a wide variety of instruments, from small 2 manual, 17th century organs in Germany to large 5-manual organs in the United States.

A frequent performer on the Cathedral Concert Series, Mr. Briggs is currently Artist in Residence at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York City. A much sought-after recitalist, he travels throughout North America and Europe presenting concerts including repertoire, improvisations, and film accompaniments. The New York Times has named him “…one of the world’s greatest contemporary organists.”

Dr. Fitzgerald and the Cathedral Choir are joined by Dr. Nicole Simental, organist, to make their annual presentation of Duruflé’s Requiem. Contemplating the Feasts of All Saints and All Souls, celebrated on November 1st and 2nd, respectively, this concert will feature other choral works calling to mind the souls of those who have gone to their rest in Christ.
At this Mass we ask the Holy Spirit to bless all those who work in music ministry, both professionally and as volunteers, a truly important labor for the glory of God and the sanctification of souls. Performers and church musicians are frequently called upon to bring musical inspiration to the liturgy, audiences, as well as classrooms. This is a day to unite our voices and to support each other in these unique endeavors. Most importantly, we come to acknowledge and praise the Source of all inspiration, the Author of art.

H. Lee Rose studied at Lee University (Cleveland, TN) in pursuit of a Bachelor of Music Performance Degree. A Cantor and Schola Member since 2015, Mr. Rose is frequently featured as a soloist for Cathedral Concerts, Masses, recitals and other services throughout Central Ohio. Since 2023 he has served as the Co-Administrator for Cathedral Music. Dr. Richard K. Fitzgerald joins as organist for this presentation.

Fifth Annual Presentation Dr. Richard K. Fitzgerald, organist
Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 3:00 P.M.
Recognized in the U.S. and abroad for his improvisation skills, Dr. Fitzgerald will present his fifth-annual improvised meditations on the Stations of the Cross. His improvisation talent has taken him to several important competitions including to the Netherlands (semi-finalist, 53rd Haarlem International Organ Improvisation Competition), and to Ann Arbor, Michigan (first place, 2nd Annual Competition on Organ Improvisation, University of Michigan and the Ann Arbor Chapter of the American Guild of Organists), and to the National Competition in Organ Improvisation (semi-finalist) sponsored by the American Guild of Organists.
Richard will call upon his own personal faith to respond to Christ’s suffering and death on the cross in a way that will enhance the listener’s spiritual pilgrimage through contemplation of the Passion of Christ. Please join us for this extraordinary musical experience as Dr. Fitzgerald draws upon his creativity as both an improviser and organist; he will use the full resources of the Fritts Grand Gallery Organ. This performance promises to be a great way to prepare for the Easter celebration.
