Welcome to Amanda Mole

January 4, 2021

Amanda Mole

As we ring in a New Year, we are thrilled to announce the appointment of Amanda Mole as Assistant Director of Music and Principal Organist. She will be joining us at Saint Joseph Cathedral on 25 January, 2021.

Amanda brings a wealth of talent and experience to the Cathedral Music program, having toured as a concert organist throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. (Most notably, of course, she appeared on our own concert series earlier this season!) She has also competed in numerous international competitions, including winning first-prize at the 8th International Musashino-Tokyo Organ Competition (2017), first-place and audience prize at the Miami International Organ Competition (2016), and first-place at the Arthur Poister Organ Competition (2014) and John Rodland Memorial Organ Competition (2014).

You are welcome to read Amanda’s bio and if you’d like to preview some of her excellent playing, she has several recordings posted on her website. (Including Buxtehude’s Präludium in D Major on the Fritts Opus 26 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Rochester.)

Amanda will be joining us coming from her current position as Director of Music at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in Rochester. Please join us in welcoming her to our community as circumstances allow!
